GET IT RIGHT
How to keep herbs intact
Preserving herbs like pudina (mint), dhaniya (coriander) and tulsi (basil) is not easy. Even dry herbs sometimes crumble into a powder and lose their flavour. So here’s how you can store any herb for a longer time:
-
Wash and chop the herb.
-
Take an ice-tray and fill three-fourth of the cube mould with the chopped herb.
-
Now cover it with melted butter or oil.
-
Freeze till it completely solidifies.
-
Take out the herb cubes and store them in the freezer in a zip lock. Use as and when required, after thawing. And that, everyone, is how it’s done!
