Kashmiri Cuisine

Kashmiri cuisine is as heavenly as the region itself. It’s home to a variety of breads topped with sesame and poppy seeds which are crisp and flaky, such as Sheermal, Baqer khani (puff pastry), Kulcha and Girda. A Kashmiri meal is incomplete without a rice dish like Kashmiri Pulao, home-baked breads like Girda and a spicy curry like the finger-licking delicious Kashmiri dum aloo. Teas such as Kahwa and Sheer chai are some of the popular beverages of the Kashmiri cuisine and can be found as a placeholder for desserts in every household.
